Mars-Clock provides precise, real-time data on NASA's ongoing Mars missions, serving as an engaging, informative, and educational resource.

Currently active missions include the Curiosity Rover, InSight Lander, and Perseverance Rover, with the latter having landed on Mars on February 18, 2021, as part of the Mars 2020 Mission.

The displayed information for each mission is presented in a clear and accessible format. Key features include:

• Mission Sol: The elapsed time of each mission measured in Sols, which are analogous to Earth days
• LMST (Local Mean Solar Time): The standard time used for mission operations
• Sunrise/Sunset Times: The scheduled times for each mission’s sunrise and sunset
• LTST (Local True Solar Time): A solar-based time derived from solar noon, utilized in certain scientific analyses
• MTC (Mars Coordinated Time): The equivalent of UTC on Earth, used for synchronization
• Earth-Mars Distance: A real-time measurement displayed in miles or kilometers
• Radio Signal Delay: The current estimated one-way communication delay expressed in minutes

The application boasts a straightforward, user-friendly interface:

• Tap the info button for a “Quick User Guide” (on Apple Watch, tap the mission name)
• Swipe left or right (or long-press the mission time on Apple Watch) within the main mission box to navigate through active missions
• Tap “Earth-Mars Distance” to switch between miles and kilometers; the display color indicates whether the distance is increasing (red) or decreasing (blue)
